FORMULATION GUIDE FOR PREPARING BENTONE 920 JELLY

TECHNICAL DATA SHEET

Bentone 920	10 Kgs
MTO	87 Kgs
Methnol	2.85 Kgs (Catalyst)
Water	0.15 Kgs (Catalyst) 100 Kgs.

Step 1
Take MTO & Bentone 920 as quantity shown above and disperse in a high speed with disc impellers (Cowlers Dissolver) at high shear. For 10 to 12 minutes stop when you see that proper mix is obtained.

Step 2
Charge Methanol and water in proportion as shown above and start dissolver for another 10-15 minutes. Till you observe a uniform Gel formation. The Gel is ready for use. Use is in a low cost primers paints etc. by adding the quantity of 1.5 % to 2.5 % of Gel. (Depends on the requirement) Usage of Bentone 920 will be cheaper then Aluminium Sterate and far more effective and stable then Aluminium Sterate.
